Detroit Pistons even more short-handed after illness fells another starter

AUBURN HILLS -- The Detroit Pistons almost certainly will be even more short-handed than they expected tonight when Ersan Ilyasova likely misses a 7:30 p.m. game against the Denver Nuggets.

The starting power forward missed this morning's shootaround with flu-like symptoms and probably will not be in the lineup tonight, Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy said.

The Pistons already are playing without starting shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who is sidelined until after the All-Star break with a core muscle strain. The Pistons begin their eight-day break after tonight's game.

Anthony Tolliver will start at power forward.
