AUBURN HILLS, Mich. – The Detroit Pistons Come Together Foundation has announced five grants to organizations in the Metro-Detroit area equaling $65,000 in an effort to support its mission of administering funds for charitable purposes.
Bing Youth Institute, formed by former Detroit Mayor and Pistons Legend Dave Bing, was the recipient of a $25,000 grant to help design, develop and implement its ‘BINGO’ mentoring program that aims to unlock the unlimited potential of urban young men. Boys & Girls Club of Greater Flint, Notes for Notes, Downtown Boxing Gym and Matrix Theatre Company also received grants of $10,000.
