Aron Baynes and Maplewood BBQ join forces for the Pistons Foundation

Monday afternoon was a big afternoon for the Maplewood BBQ at the Palace of Auburn Hills and Aron Baynes of the Detroit Pistons.

Thanks to the three years Baynes spent with the San Antonio Spurs, the Aussie developed a taste for Texas-style barbecue. Levy Restaurants (parent company of the Maplewood BBQ) executive chef Lamar Nolden and Baynes joined forces to create a menu item for sale at the restaurant located in the east wing of the Palace.

The aptly-named House O’Bayne Brisket will sell for $12 and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Detroit Pistons Foundation.
