A little luck led Eastwood the dog to family of Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy

As luck would have it, the adoption of Eastwood to the family of Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy would have never happened if the Labrador had been adopted during the "Empty the Shelters" event last weekend.

The 1-year-old red-coated lab was the only dog left behind at the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society after the statewide adoption event. The Van Gundy family heard about the event but missed it, according to a news release from the BISSELL Pet Foundation.
