Jackson greeted reporters in the locker room after the Knicks game with a prediction — the Pistons, with Jackson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, will form the league’s most athletic backcourt.
There’s obviously a catch: Reggie Jackson would have to return to the Pistons in free agency. But even in that likely event, he and Caldwell-Pope would have plenty of competition:
- Celtics: Marcus Smart and Avery Bradley
- Bulls: Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler
- Bucks: Michael Carter-Williams Khris Middleton
- Thunder: Russell Westbrook and Andre Roberson
- Magic: Elfrid Payton and Victor Oladipo
- Suns: Brandon Knight and Eric Bledsoe
- Kings: Darren Collison and Ben McLemore
- Wizards: John Wall and Bradley Beal
Jackson and Caldwell-Pope are both athletic, but I’m not too concerned about athleticism.
