Pistons see draft as 12 deep

Keith Langlois of Pistons.com:

But – make no mistake about this – the Pistons expect to get a good player at No. 8. Stan Van Gundy, in addressing the crowd of season-ticketholders invited to The Palace for the lottery, said Tuesday that assistant general manager Brian Wright, who heads up the scouting staff, has told him consistently this season that he thinks there is terrific quality through 12 players.

I’m, give or take, 11 deep with:

  • Karl-Anthony Towns
  • Jahlil Okafor
  • Emmanuel Mudiay
  • D’Angelo Russell
  • Kristaps Porzingis
  • Justise Winslow
  • Willie Cauley-Stein
  • Mario Hezonja
  • Myles Turner
  • Stanley Johnson
  • Frank Kaminsky

Obviously, Cauley-Stein is not an ideal fit with Andre Drummond, because neither can shoot outside the paint at all.
