Detroit Pistons called Danny Green first

We knew the Detroit Pistons had a desire to add a starting caliber small forward to take pressure off of Stanley Johnson.

It looks like Danny Green is plan A.

According to Vince Ellis at Detroit Free Press:

Stan Van Gundy moved quickly in an effort to fill the Detroit Pistons’ hole at small forward.

The Pistons contacted San Antonio Spurs free agent small forward Danny Green shortly after the NBA’s free agency moratorium began at 12:01 a.m., a person with firsthand knowledge of the call but not authorized to speak publicly told the Free Press.
