ALLEN PARK, Mich. – They head to the team hotel early every Saturday, and once Darius Slay and Rashean Mathis arrive, the competition really begins.
It’s an extension of their daily competitions, really, but on the night before games this season, the two defensive backs have a very specific battle in "FIFA" soccer -- for hours.
“We probably get like 30 games in a weekend in 'FIFA' at the hotel,” Slay said. “The one day that we’re just chillin', we get there early, 6 o’clock, and I’ll be giving it to him from 6 to 9 o’clock.
