Pettigrew out for first 6 weeks on PUP list

The Detroit Lions plan to put tight end Brandon Pettigrew on the reserve physically unable to perform list to start the season.

That means both Pettigrew and wide receiver Corey Fuller will miss at least the first six weeks of the regular season on the PUP list. Those will be two of the Lions' three moves to get down to 75 players by today's 4 p.m. roster deadline.

Linebacker Jon Bostic is expected to go on IR, which would be the third move.
