Preseason hype is a fickle fantasy. It can come and go with a passing game, rise to a crescendo and then never be heard from again. But teams and the people in them talk in the preseason. They set a bar for what they hope to be.
The Lions said they had a "wow" food item coming to Ford Field this year. They had a full new menu, actually, chock full of farm-to-table foods and Mexican flair.
But one dish is supposed to stand out above the others by getting the people to talk. You carry this down the steps on the way to your seat and the heads are supposed to turn.
