London — The Miami Dolphins fired coach Joe Philbin after a loss at Wembley Stadium dropped them to 1-3. With the Lions falling to 1-7 at the famous soccer stadium Sunday, speculation about Jim Caldwell will run rampant in the immediate future.
Caldwell said after the game he expects to remain the coach.
"I'm working every single day," he said. "My job is to go in and to get my job done. Those things are answered by someone else and not me, but I fully anticipate being able to continue to do my job."
The people who would make such a decision weren't talking to media after the game.
