Lions' Jones, Waddle off PUP list, free to practice

Allen Park — Two of the four Lions starters who have yet to practice this summer can re-join the team Sunday.

Defensive end Jason Jones and offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle are officially off the physically unable to perform list and are free to practice at any time. The Lions have a brief practice session Sunday and full practices begin again Monday.

The Lions removing the two players from PUP now is a sign that they're both 100-percent healthy for the season. Teams place players on PUP before training camp to give them the option of keeping them on PUP into the season, which holds players out at least six games.
