Caleb Kellark waited patiently as one person after another approached Calvin Johnson for a minute of his time.
One teenager wanted a picture. Another asked for an autograph. A third had a whole bag of things for Johnson to sign.
When Kellark, who was volunteering at the free football camp Johnson hosts annually for a select group of high school players in metro Detroit, finally got his turn, he asked if Johnson would say hello to his mother, who was on hold on FaceTime awaiting an early birthday present she had no idea was coming.
