Detroit Lions tight end Cole Wick had just finished hosting a round of nutrition trivia for about 170 elementary and middle school students when he made his way onto the turf at Ford Field to take part in a Play 60 event for the group.
"Obviously, this part of it was a little bit more hands-on than the other part," Wick said. "You got to do your lesson, and they were all learning, and then you come down here and you get to play football."
After throwing passes to kids of all ages for a good 40 minutes, Wick caught a few of his own while palling around with one of the clinic's other presenters, one-handed basketball player Kevin Laue.
