The NFL Alumni DET Chapter honored Detroit Lions‘ safety Don Carey and former Lions offensive lineman Lomas Brown at their 38th annual Charity Golf outing Monday afternoon.
The outreach efforts of local NFL alumni, Lions’ affiliates, and goodwill from corporate sponsors allow for the game of football to make a vital imprint on the lives of the local youth.
While Carey was not in attendance for the event due to a mandatory team meeting Monday evening, he did have this to say about giving honor to the resilience of the NFL Alumni DET Chapter.
