Detroit Lions backup quarterback Jake Rudock looks bigger, better during OTAs

Detroit Free Press

Detroit Lions quarterback Jake Rudock looks a little bit bigger and a little bit better. And he should get more opportunities now that he’s the team’s No. 2 QB behind Matthew Stafford.

“A little bit better knowledge, obviously with what he’s doing from an offensive standpoint,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “It’s not an easy offense to learn. It’s complex. It has many layers to it, and I think he’s doing a good job in studying. He’s a smart guy.”

That’s never been a question for Rudock, who graduated from Michigan and still plans to pursue a medical degree.
