1957 Detroit Lions wonder about CTE: 'They can have my brain'

It wasn’t until film day that Roger Zatkoff saw what happened. And when he did, the former Lions linebacker said he looked like he was acting out a scene from a movie.

Zatkoff, a member of the 1957 Detroit Lions team that won the organization’s last championship, was playing for the Green Bay Packers early in his career when he was knocked out cold with a concussion.

As he lay motionless on the field, Zatkoff said his fists were clenched and his “right and left hand were square up in the air.
