Calvin Johnson Puts on an Incredible Show in Detroit

The Lions came up with an intense home win in the last seconds of today's game against the Dallas Cowboys. Despite four turnovers that almost cost Detroit the game, Matthew Stafford came through with a last-second touchdown and with the extra point, the Lions won by one. The star of the game, though, was none other than Calvin Johnson.

Johnson used his size and speed to his advantage, catching 14 passes for 329 yards -seven yards shy of the most receiving yards in a single game in NFL history. Today was also Johnson's fifth game with 200+ receiving yards, which ties the NFL record set by Lance Alworth.

Not only did Johnson break records, but he played a crucial role in the Lions' win at home. It was redemption for the close loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Detroit just one week ago, and in the last minute of the game it was Megatron who made a catch a yard away from the end zone, leading to Stafford's dramatic touchdown.

Johnson had one touchdown today and some amazing statistics - his fantasy owners have to be thrilled.

On the Cowboys bench, emotions ran high as Dez Bryant was clearly upset with the loss. Bryant was shown yelling at both Tony Romo and Jason Witten at different points in the game. Injured teammate DeMarcus Ware attempted to ease the tensions on the Dallas bench, and things seemed to fall apart for the Cowboys after they ran out to an early lead but collapsed during the fourth quarter.

Johnson made just one mistake all day - he tipped a pass that turned into an interception. Ultimately, it didn't matter. Johnson's undeniable dominance is what led the Lions to victory in the end.

Not only did Megatron's team come out on top, but he had a career performance that will go down as one of the best single-game showings by a wide receiver in NFL history.
