Celtics fortify their frontcourt with Lee

BOSTON — The NBA champion Golden State Warriors completed their trade of two-time all-star forward David Lee to the Boston Celtics for Gerald Wallace and Chris Babb on Monday, nearly three weeks after the teams agreed to make the trade. The Celtics needed time to sort out other moves in free agency before acquiring the 6-foot-9 Lee, who is due about $15.4 million during the final year of his contract.

Lee, 32, has career averages of 14.7 points and 9.5 rebounds in 10 seasons in the NBA.

In another trade involving the Celtics, the Miami Heat sent Shabazz Napier to the Orlando Magic and Zoran Dragic to Boston.
