You don’t know what you have in a prospect until you see him on the field for the first time. This week’s three-day rookie minicamp provided the Denver Broncos and their coaching staff their first opportunity to get a better look at their rookie class, undrafted free agents, and other unseasoned players.
Coaches and scouts can watch all the tape they want, but there is more to the player evaluation than that. Getting to know the players as people, how they interact with their teammates, and how they prepare on a daily basis are also fundamental to the process.
