Kubiak hopes Siemian maintains aggressiveness despite turnovers

The Denver Broncos have their quarterback, with the announcement today that Trevor Siemian will start the season opener, against the Carolina Panthers. The unknown seventh-round pick of the 2015 draft, who struggled in his last season at Northwestern, is the choice.

Siemian has earned the job, something his head coach, Gary Kubiak, reiterated to his players and to the media Monday. With all the good that the Broncos second-year man has done, he’s also had a few bad decisions that have lead to turnovers. Kubiak values ball security, like any coach, but he’s also ok with the young signal-caller taking his shots.
