Broncos coach Gary Kubiak plans to ask Dean Blandino, the NFL’s vice president of officiating, about Shaquil Barrett’s illegal block that cost the team 14 yards on a punt return in the third quarter.
Barrett was flagged for an illegal hit as Emmanuel Sanders returned a punt to Denver’s 28-yard line.
“It’s confusing for us, too, because the same call happened a few weeks ago to Omar (Bolden),” Kubiak said. “If you remember the play in the preseason and the clarification that we got was as long as (the hit) was between the waist and the neck.
