Ed McCaffrey steps away from broadcast career after five seasons

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Former Broncos wide receiver-turned-broadcaster Ed McCaffrey announced on Instagram on Friday afternoon that he is stepping aside from the KOA-850 AM Broncos broadcast team.

McCaffrey joined longtime Denver play-by-play man Dave Logan prior to the 2012 season, replacing another former Bronco in Brian Griese. In five years with Logan, McCaffrey added color commentary to 59 regular-season wins and five more playoff victories, including two AFC Championships and Super Bowl 50.

McCaffrey announced he is also leaving his afternoon Denver sports-talk show on Denver Sports 760.

"Thanks to iHeartMedia, KOA, Denver Sports 760 and the Denver Broncos for allowing me to call games for the Orange and Blue with Dave Logan, Andy Lindahl, and the best broadcasting team in the business," McCaffrey said via Instagram.
