USA soccer drops four from roster ahead of World Cup qualifier at Panama

SAN JOSE — Two players who started in the U.S. national team’s 6-0 victory over Honduras on Friday were among four dropped from the roster ahead of Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier in Panama.

Midfielder Sebastian Lletget, who scored the opening goal at Avaya Stadium before leaving moments later with a left foot injury, will return to the Los Angeles Galaxy for further evaluation. John Brooks, a starting central defender who left in the 70th minute with an illness stemming from what the U.S. delegation said was a sinus infection, will return to German club Hertha Berlin.
