Stars fans have been through this before, hearing about how Antti Niemi brought a championship pedigree, or how Kari Lehtonen was one of the most talented goalies in the NHL, or how Jack Campbell really could be the "goalie of the future" who takes Dallas to the promised land.
All three have delivered less than advertised, so pardon the masses if they're a little skeptical about the hoopla surrounding new netminder Ben Bishop.
But as the positive spin of the new-look Stars hit high gear Friday with Bishop's first appearance in town, you do have to step back and say that this move does look good on paper.
