Dallas wouldn't be interested in Rick Nash or Dion Phaneuf, would they? Please tell me they wouldn't take, either, even as a rental.
Heika: The salary cap on each (above $7 million) make it almost impossible to make a trade work. Plus, I think neither is a great fit.
While you could say they could use Phaneuf if Methot can't come back, there seem to be better options.
Nash is big and plays the right wing, but I also think you could find a speedier top six winger that might add more to the mix.
