The Dallas Stars have had a rough outing thus far in 2016 after a spectacular end to 2015. They’ve had nights when they don’t even look like they have players to the likes of Tyler Seguin and Jamie Benn and other nights when they’ve been collectively strong.
Saturday night’s 5-1 pummeling from the Chicago Blackhawks was a disgrace. The Stars weren’t winning battles, couldn’t take advantage of opportunities, and were incredibly insufficient in regards to every kind of special teams. Not how the second place Central Division team should be playing.
Although their play is confusing and disappointing to say the least, it’s concerning that the captain is so eager to take the blame.
