Mavs nip Warriors, 108-106, on Washington’s late basket

With Luka Donu010diu0107 on the bench in street clothes, the Dallas Mavericks overcame a late push by Golden State and frantically held on to nip the Warriors, 108-106, on Friday night at American Airlines Center.

The victory was the 13th in the past 15 games for the Mavs and also snapped the Warriors’ six-game winning streak. The Mavs (47-30) also moved to within two games of the idle Los Angeles Clippers in the battle for the Western Conference’s No. 4 seed.

P.J. Washington snap a tie and scored the game-winning basket when he received a pass from Tim Hardaway Jr.
