Mavs hoping to defy the odds and do better than they did last season

They advanced to last season’s Western Conference Finals. And by all accounts, this year’s team is better than last year’s,

mainly because of the offseason acquisitions of veteran centers JaVale McGee and Christian Wood, along with rookie guard Jaden Hardy.

But from where the Dallas Mavericks sit, the NBA’s so-called experts haven’t shown them any love, because they somehow apparently don’t’ think they have the tools to get as far as they climbed last season. Why the lack of respect?
