MIAMI – The Dallas Mavericks are this season’s Southwest Division champions.
On Wednesday night at the Kaseya Center, the Mavs stepped on the Miami’s throat early, then had to weather a storm by the Heat before walking away with a 111-92 victory and the coveted divisional title. It was the 16th win in the last 18 games for the Mavs as they also captured the franchise’s fifth division championship.
In the process, the Mavs padded their record to an impressive 50-30 with two games remaining. They also won 50 games for the 16th time in franchise history and for the first time since they went 52-30 in the 2021-22 season.
