Jason Kidd, Steve Nash are Hall of Famers but the Mavs' all-time best PG never even got an All-Star nod

For most of the Mavs' history, through good times and Jim Cleamons, their most telling characteristic besides a German accent has been quarterback play. From Brad Davis to Dennis Smith Jr., with hardly an exception, it's been one good point guard after another. Hall of Famers, even.

So with Jason Kidd and Steve Nash about to be inducted, you were probably wondering:

Of all these good point guards, who's the Mavs' best ever?

And will we have to re-rank for DSJ?

Any project of such magnitude naturally requires expertise, experience and an inordinate amount of research, which is why I talked Del Harris, Chuck Cooperstein and Brad Townsend into doing it for me.
