Dallas Mavericks sign two rookies to fill out roster

The Dallas Mavericks continued to fill out their roster as they signed a pair of rookies on Sunday to 10-day contracts.

The Mavericks signed rookie forward Ben Bentil, and less than an hour later they came to terms on a contract with rookie guard Quinn Cook. The new additions gives the Mavericks the NBA maximum of 15 players on their roster.

Bentil was a second-round draft pick (51st overall) by Boston last summer, but was waived after playing just three preseason games with the Celtics. The 6-foot-9, 235-pound averaged 14.5 points and five rebounds in 13 games for the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the National Basketball Association Development League.
