4 in the morning: Amazing what kind of heart J.J. Barea displayed

Here’s our four game-night thoughts about the Dallas Mavericks’ 121-109 victory over Houston Sunday night in Game 4 of the first-round playoff series, which meant the Mavericks avoided getting swept.
Numero cinco: J.J. Barea had 10 points, three assists, three rebounds and just one turnover in the second quarter, when the Mavericks turned what became a 12-point deficit into a eight-point lead. Barea would finish with 17 points and 13 assists, probably the best overall game any starting point guard has had this season for the Mavericks. You cannot underestimate the man’s heart.
Hitting the boards: The Mavericks outrebounded the Rockets 52-38.
