Getting kicked out of high school and off Iowa State's football team as well as making the NFL's suspended list doesn't necessarily make David Irving a bad guy. Neither does a noisy custody battle. Or drug suspensions. Or a suspect work ethic. Not even a truly awful TV commercial.
Just the same, there's probably a reality show in there somewhere.
The good news is, the show's over as far as the Cowboys are concerned, but not because they're finally living up to Jason Garrett's "right kind of guys" credo. They're simply following Don Shula's.
