The Ranch Report: Circumcising mosquitoes and the Tony Romo decision

The Cowboys will keep Tony Romo on the active roster because, in the words of Jerry Jones, spending too much time analyzing this decision is comparable to "circumcising the mosquito.''

Translation: who knows? But it's a colorful phrase.

Jones' point seems to be that the potential of Romo's return before Nov. 6 _ which is the earliest the quarterback could play if placed on injured reserve _ is more important than the reality of whatever player the Cowboys would carry with the 53rd spot on the roster.
