The Cowboys are headed into April's draft with the No. 4 overall pick, something they've had just once before in franchise history, and they traded him away immediately.

In 1964 the Cowboys drafted Texas defensive tackle Scott Appleton No. 4 overall, but the pick was actually made for the Steelers. The Cowboys traded the No. 4 pick to the Pittsburgh in exchange for receiver Buddy Dial.

With no Cowboys history to draw from, it's time to take at previous No. 4 overall picks since the 1970 merger.
