Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Brice Butler had a little fun once he discovered Ezekiel Elliott was just fine after the rookie running back had a minor car accident Wednesday morning near the team’s practice facility.
When he initially heard of the accident, Butler said: “I hope he’s OK, because you don’t want, you know, that’s our guy. So you don’t want him to be hurt.
“That was really all I thought. And then when I found out he was OK, I was like, dummy. That’s all I thought.’’
Asked for his reaction about Elliott’s accident, defensive lineman Cedric Thornton said: “I hope (he wasn’t driving) the Bentley.
