FRISCO - Looking back at the moment, perhaps Jerry Jones was displaying showmanship more than sincerity.
The Cowboys owner made it to Mobile, Ala., a bit behind his usual Senior Bowl schedule in late January despite Dallas' staff coaching the North team. By the time he arrived mid-week, Wednesday's practice was just about finished for the North.
Once the final whistle had blown, Jones wasted no time in getting across the field to quarterback Carson Wentz. Jones joked with Wentz and shook his hand, both exchanging ear-to-ear smiles.
