EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The public handling of Dez Bryant's possible return from foot surgery Sunday felt all week like a smokescreen just to get the New York Giants to think he will play.
On Saturday, Bryant was ruled out after being listed as doubtful on Friday. He hadn’t practiced all week and hadn’t really tested his foot enough to play but the Cowboys kept all of the options open as if the Giants will see Bryant on Sunday and shudder or if they don’t see him they will relax.
It’s a game every team plays and really fools nobody or means anything.
