Dallas Cowboys cornerback Nolan Carroll was arrested Monday morning on suspicion of DWI, putting him in the cross hairs of possible suspension by the NFL.
Carroll committed a traffic violation about 2:20 a.m. in the 2220 block of McKinney Avenue, according to a Dallas Police Department release.
He was taken to the Dallas County Jail where he posted bond at 2:45 p.m. Monday afternoon and was released.
The arrest and any conviction could result in a suspension of at least two games by the NFL.
It’s an ominous start to his career with the Cowboys for Carroll, who signed a three-year, $10 million free agent deal in March.
