Cowboys not thinking about the future just yet

IRVING, Texas -- To Jason Garrett, the future is some abstract thing.

The approach of the Dallas Cowboys’ head coach does not allow him to think too far ahead. He’s more concerned about having a great Tuesday than a great 2016. It’s how he approached it when he took over midway through the 2010 season when the Cowboys were 1-7.

The Cowboys have lost eight of their last nine games. They will not have Tony Romo for the rest of the regular season. They will turn the offense over to Matt Cassel, who went 0-4 in his first run as Romo’s replacement.
