Colin Cowherd picks the Dallas Cowboys to win the NFC East

Just two years ago, the Dallas Cowboys rose from the mediocrity of three straight 8-8 seasons without a postseason appearance to 12-4 record on the shoulders of the league’s leading rusher in running back DeMarco Murray.

But in 2015, without Murray who was signed away in free agency, and two key injuries to starting quarterback Tony Romo and All-Pro wide receiver Dez Bryant, the Cowboys posted a souring 4-12 season ending record.

But it was their down year last season that allowed them to draft Ohio State running back Ezekiel Elliott with the fourth overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.
