Coach’s Corner: Joe Baker’s 5 Thoughts on Revamped Cowboys Secondary

For Cowboys’ secondary coach Joe Baker, last month’s NFL Draft was like Christmas morning. Of the eight players drafted by the Cowboys, four were defensive backs. And at Rookie Camp, Baker finally got to open his toys and see them perform on the practice field. Last week, the newest arrivals worked out on the practice field alongside returning veterans.

After losing four of his top defensive backs from last season (Brandon Carr, Barry Church, Mo Claiborne, and JJ Wilcox), there is a new infusion of talent for the 2017 Cowboys secondary which includes draft picks CB Chidobe Awuzie, CB Jourdan Lewis, S Xavier Woods, and CB Marquez White.
