Stephen Jones: Cowboys comfortable with current RBs, but also looking to upgrade

Not drafting a running back last weekend means the Cowboys will be in the conversation the remainder of the year whenever a free agent back is mentioned.

The most recent name to pop up is Chris Johnson, the former Titan and Jet who rushed for 2,006 yards in 2009.

Johnson recently said he’d be a good fit in Dallas.

During a Wednesday conference call with season-ticket holders, Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones was asked about the three-time Pro Bowler.

“We haven’t visited with Chris, and we can’t talk about him because he’s a free agent,” Jones said via DallasCowboys.
