Jerry Jones says Romo’s Super Bowl prediction is ‘real hard to live up to’

At the end of a recent acceptance speech for the Nancy Lieberman Lifetime Achievement Award, Tony Romo proclaimed the Cowboys were going to win the Super Bowl this upcoming season.

Romo, who was about to turn 35, made the declaration only months after Dallas earned their first playoff berth since 2009 and went 13-5.

But owner Jerry Jones, who has been known to actively hype up his team in the past, wouldn’t make any promises even though the Cowboys just enjoyed a successful campaign and spent the last few months actively upgrading the weakest area of the team: the defense.
