Former Dolphins RB Daniel Thomas part of group that worked out for Cowboys

Add another name to the list of running backs that worked out for the Cowboys on Thursday.

Former Dolphins second-round pick Daniel Thomas joined a group that included Ben Tate and Felix Jones, according to a source.

Thomas, 27, has rushed for 1,480 yards and 10 touchdowns in four seasons as mostly a reserve in Miami. He rushed for 1,585 yards and 19 touchdowns during his final season at Kansas State in 2010.

After not drafting a running back earlier this month, the Cowboys continue to express faith in their current backs. However, executive vice president Stephen Jones has said several times recently that the Cowboys will continue to keep their eyes open for possible additions at the position.
