Dallas Cowboys News: Sean Lee Rips Jay Ratliff in Radio Interview

Jerry Jones was fairly diplomatic in handling the departure of defensive tackle Jay Ratliff, calling his release from the Cowboys a "legal matter" and declining to elaborate. Sean Lee wasn't nearly as measured in his response, and the Cowboys' defensive captain unloaded on Ratliff in a radio interview on Friday.

"If you don't want to be here and play for this team," Lee said on Dallas' 105.3 The Fan, "then move on. I'd rather go down with guys who want to be here and want to win than win with guys who don't want to be here."

Ratliff was officially cleared to play just days after being released from the Cowboys for failing a physical. Ratliff had been listed as inactive for 11 months.

"When it comes to that situation, we've moved on. We have guys who are ready to play, who work extremely hard, and who care about each other as teammates." Lee said. Full Audio of Lee's interview is available here.

Dallas is on the hook for $6.928 million out of Ratliff's contract toward next year's salary cap, and the player will still make $10 million in bonus money despite playing just a handful of games after signing a massive contract extension.
