Cowboys happy to have ‘ball of energy’ Sean Lee back on the practice fields

A year after suffering a season-ending knee injury during organized team activities, Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee was back on the Valley Ranch practice fields this week.

The defensive captain tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee during a team drill a year ago. This time around, the coaching staff is keeping one of their most valuable defenders limited to only individual drills during the non-padded practices.

Cowboys linebackers coach Matt Eberflus said they are pacing Lee, increasing his reps each day.

“He’s a ball of energy and excitement and that represents who we are,” Cowboys defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli said.
