OMAHA, Neb. -- The Creighton women's tennis team fell 4-3 to Colorado State on Saturday afternoon at the Hanscom Tennis Center.
The Bluejays are now 11-7 during the spring season with three matches remaining during the regular season, including two at home.
The No. 3 singles position decided the match. Colorado State's Alyssa Grijaiva won 7-6 (6) in the first frame before Katherine Nelsen evened the match with a 6-4 second-set win. Grijaiva jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the deciding set, but Nelsen fought back with wins in three of the next four games to make it 5-3.
