INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The Creighton women's soccer team lost 2-0 at Butler in a key BIG EAST Conference game on Thursday night in Indianapolis, Ind.

Butler improved to 10-5-2 with the victory and moved into sixth place in the BIG EAST standings with a 3-3-1 mark. Creighton dropped to seventh place with an 8-5-2 mark and is 3-4-0 in league play. The standings flip is important with just two games left in the regular-season, and only the top six teams in the BIG EAST standings reaching the league tournament at year's end.

Butler scored in the game's 10th minute, as Serina Kashimoto beat Bluejay goalkeeper McKenzie Meola on a penalty kick to make it 1-0.
